About the library:
The library is open daily from 7:30 - 3:10. We operate on a flexible schedule allowing students to come to the library when they need to come, rather than on a scheduled basis. We have 15 desktop computers and a laptop cart available for research and project development/publication work.
Our Makerspace has numerous robotics, manipulatives, project supplies, craft materials, STEM materials as well as a 3-D printer.

This is my twentieth year as a librarian and my fifteenth year at Meigs. Fresh out of college, I spent my first three years as a speech therapist in the public school system in Kentucky. For fourteen years, I worked with adolescents and adults, diagnosed with traumatic brain injury, in rehabilitation at Vanderbilt. I've been married to my husband for thirty eight years and we have two great children. When I became a parent, thirty-one years ago (both my daughter and son are Meigs/Hume Fogg graduates), I reconnected with children's literature! I have always loved the power of words, whether written or spoken. I have had the great pleasure of witnessing others' evolving relationship with words in developmental, therapeutic and educational settings. Working with students and teachers at Meigs has been the highlight of my professional career. I love teaching information literacy to our students, helping them navigate the ever changing world of information access and retrieval, and connecting students to meaningful and relevant books and authors. Keeping the collection current and relevant, discussing books, genres, and authors with our readers, collaborating with teachers to design lessons and research projects, make for fun, full days in the library at Meigs!
